King's Nympton School was built in 1930 and has had many alterations over the years. A new classroom was added in 2002 and in 2009 the toilets and a small teaching area were completely refurbished and a staff/meeting room was created. The latter project was entirely funded from school resources, but the classroom building project was only able to go ahead due to the support of parents and friends of the school, who not only raised some of the money but also helped to decorate the classroom.
Our school has a playground, a playing field, a garden and a wildlife area which includes a pond.
We do not have a hall and so use the Parish Hall for P.E. and Drama.
Also on our site is the King’s Nympton Pre-school, which feeds into our Key Stage 1 class. Click here to see how to contact the Pre-school.
We have an active Friends’ Association. The present chair is Cherylyn Gazeley (Tel: 01769 550801 or 07798 578092).
School lunches are not cooked on the school site but are sent from Chulmleigh. Click here to see this term’s menu.

We are a feeder primary school for Chulmleigh Community College but some children who live nearer South Molton choose to go to the community college there. Please click on the links below to visit their websites.
