We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Level 3 Early Years Practitioner(s) to join our friendly and growing team at Kings Nympton Primary School & Nursery.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small, nurturing setting where children are at the heart of everything we do, situated within the heart of the Devon countryside.

Our nursery provision is growing rapidly, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about giving young children the very best start to their education.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare or equivalent.
  • Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and confident.
  • Plan and deliver engaging experiences that support children's learning and development.
  • Work effectively as part of a supportive and committed team.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and families.
  • Have high expectations for children's learning, development and behaviour.
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the wider life of our pre-school, school and federation.

What we can offer you

  • Supportive federation with a strong commitment to professional development and high-quality Early Years provision (Ofsted, 2026).
  • Shared expertise across the federation.
  • Attractive holiday package, to be discussed at interview.
  • An environment that ensures that every child has the opportunity to achieve, thrive and belong.
  • The possibility of working across Kings Nympton and Winkleigh to support our rapidly expanding provision.
  • A dedicated staff team that act in the best interests of supporting all children, including highly skilled practitioners.
  • An inclusive setting that welcomes every child with open arms (Ofsted, 2026).
  • A unique setting that draws on the natural environment.
  • A child centred approach that fosters an holistic focus on every child and their learning, nurturing and celebrating their individual interests, needs and strengths in a warm, caring and inspiring environment.

The role is offered on a full-time or part-time basis, and job shares will be considered. We are planning to operate from 8.00am and 6.00pm, 50 weeks of the year, with working patterns agreed according to the needs of the setting and the successful candidate. This will be discussed at interviewed.
